Her latest book, Heartbroken Open, a life-changing memoir, has become a Lifetime Television biopic starring Heather Locklear. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story will premiere on the network on October 16.
In this episode, Kristine Carlson shares what she has learned since the sudden loss of her husband, and what it was like to step into full ownership of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, while raising two daughters and grieving the passing of her soulmate. 
Kristine shares a process that can help a person recover from loss and encourages people to embrace those moments of joy that can sometimes cause guilt. She says that we wouldn’t know the true meaning of joy without sorrow.
Most notably Kristine embodies her teachings and embraces a life she hadn't planned but is grateful to have.
