Air Force Colonel Veteran, Mo Barrett starts her second act as a comedian, right here and now in this podcast. She shares her journey from the strict structure of the military to the freedom she is discovering after closing that chapter to write a book and tap into her innate ability to make people laugh. You’ll love being a fly on the wall as you hear this conversation unveil the synchronicities between Amy Stark and her funny guest.
Mo and Amy discuss how they discovered themselves during the momentous moments, such as coming out, but also the seemingly mundane moments that are equally important to their identities. Mo tells us how joining a Sweet Adeline’s barbershop quartet helped her redefine her purpose and gave her the strength to leave military life.
In the Air Force, Mo was taught that it isn’t a good idea to build a plane while flying it, but she’s finding that the opposite is true. She’s writing her story, literally and figuratively, to get people to laugh, learn, and think using storytelling and laughter as the great equalizer.
